Prof. Michela Arnaboldi is currently the deputy Head of the PhD programme in Management Engineering at at Politecnico di Milano. She has obtained a Master of Science (MSc) in Management Engineering at Politecnico di Milano, winning, in 2000, a three-year scholarship to complete a PhD at the Department of Management, Economics and Industrial Engineering. Her PhD research focused on the public sector and the adoption of management techniques, mainly in performance management instruments. She completed her PhD in 2003 with the thesis “Complexity of Change in Transforming Public Sector Institutions”, the basis for three papers published in international journals. In 2014, following a national competitive application, she was appointed as Full Professor at Politecnico di Milano, Department of Management, Economics and Industrial Engineering, following positions as Associate Professor (2006-2014) and Assistant Professor (2003-2006). Her research interests are related to two areas: (1) public sector management; (2) the evolution of performance management.
